Lindley Venue Catering Land £1.4m Bradford City Contract

Bradford City FC have handed a £1.4m ($2.2m) catering concession to Lindley Venue Catering, clinic who will now manage all of the public matchday catering at the Coral Windows Stadium.

The five year deal started on August 10 at the start of the 2013-14 League One season, when Lindley re-launched the retail catering on the public concourse at the 25,136-seater stadium.

David Baldwin, Director of Operations at Bradford City FC, said:  “The club’s promotion to League One has provided us with an ideal opportunity to review our catering services and we believe Lindley Venue Catering is best placed to help us to improve and develop the food offering for our fans and away visitors on matchdays.

“We unveiled the new retail facilities and food offering to our fans as we embarked on our foray into League One at the start of the season.”

Lindley Venue Catering have a strong presence in Yorkshire, with contracts already secured with Rotherham, Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday and at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Baldwin added: “They have a strong infrastructure and resource pool in Yorkshire and being established in the region has given them a good feel for local preferences and tastes.”

Jonathan Davies, The Lindley Group’s Sales & Marketing Director, commented:  “As well as introducing new concepts and initiatives at the ground on matchdays, we will also be working with the team at Bradford City FC to engage more with fans and encourage them to use the new facilities and support their club even further with a percentage of the returns from catering being reinvested into the club.”
