Lead Regional Tennis Participation Manager, Community – LTA

Overview:

Responsible for growth of Tennis participation in the Community sector across the Region. This is a challenging and exciting position and one that will play a fundamental role in developing and implementing the long-term strategy for the Region.

The role requires someone who is both an exceptional manager and an expert in supporting partners to drive activity, clinic develop a high quality workforce and ensure financial sustainability.

In summary the role will:

– Be responsible for working with the Head of Region to develop the strategy and associated budget for the Region, in particular leading on the area of Local Authority (LA) development

– Be accountable for the delivery of dashboard measures or targets across the Region associated with Community

– Support, manage and direct the day to day operations of a Team of direct reports

– Liaise with relevant Central Support Teams and external Partners Key Attributes Leadership & Strategy To develop and support a plan for growth in LA areas across the Region aligned to the national strategy for growing participation

– To lead the Regional Team to identify the LAs with the biggest opportunity to influence participation

– To ensure that there are strong interconnected plans agreed and implemented with partner LAs covering Tennis provision, facility development and promotion

– To organise, motivate and develop relevant Team members to reach a high standard of performance against the Regional plan

– To support the development of the Regional targets and budget

– To ensure that there is a strong level of engagement with relevant LTA products and support throughout appropriate venues in focus LAs To work with relevant Colleagues from the Central Support and Regional Teams to ensure that there is a high quality plan for partner LAs utilising the full resource to maximum effect

– Work with the Regional Facilities Project Manager (RFPM) to identify and implement strategic facility investments across partner LAs in the Region 2 / HR & Development Team / [Click and type Month and Year that JD is finalised]

– To work with the National LA and Parks Lead to ensure that the Regional plan is a model of best practice and is fully utilising all relevant support ? To work with the Coaching Team, Regional Tennis Competition Co-ordinator (RTCC), Volunteering Manager and the Regional workforce lead to ensure that there are plans in place to appropriately support the development of people in appropriate venues within partner LAs across the Region ? To work with the Insight Team to monitor the effectiveness of work delivered in the Community sector ? To work with the Tennis Foundation (TF) to ensure that plans for Disability Tennis and Education are effectively delivered in partner LAs across the Region
