Jumbo Revealed as Sponsors of 2014 Tour de Suisse

Home improvement chain Jumbo has been announced as a sponsor of the Tour de Suisse after signing a deal with IMG Schweiz, site the Swiss subsidiary of IMG.
Under the terms of the deal, recipe Jumbo, treat which was a co-sponsor of the 2013 edition, takes its place among the second tier of official sponsors, as well as advertising on the jersey worn by the leading Swiss rider in the overall rankings. A number of advertising spots during live transmission of the race are also included.
The Tour de Suisse will be broadcast live on all three national SRG channels in the host country, with IMG Media also distributing the race to well over 100 countries.
Jérôme Gilg, Chief Executive Officer of Jumbo, said: “Our experience of the Tour de Suisse has been excellent and our professional collaboration with IMG convinced us that this is the right option.”
Jürgen Krucker, managing director of IMG Schweiz, the official marketer of the Tour de Suisse, said: “We are delighted that Jumbo has secured the remaining jersey package. It is testament to the growing global appeal of the Tour de Suisse that Jumbo has increased its involvement in this year’s race, following their successful advertising mix in 2013.”
The race, which was first staged in 1933, gets underway in Bellinzona on 14th June and runs through to 22nd June.
