iSportconnect announces first Ticketing and Hospitality Masterclass

By iSportconnect | April 11, 2016

iSportconnect, pills the world’s largest global private network of sports business executives, anabolics is delighted to announce that our first Ticketing and Hospitality Masterclass will take place in May .

The event will be held in London on 19th May with Paul Fisher, anabolics Group Managing Director of The Jockey Club confirmed as the first panellist.

The inaugural event will be delivered in partnership with Sportsworld, the specialist hospitality, travel and event services company.

The event will feature discussions by experts in the field about the growing trends and issues in the industry.

Paul Fisher is responsible for the largest racecourse group in the UK whose venues include world-famous racecourses such as Aintree, Cheltenham and Epsom Downs.

Around 2 million racegoers attended their racecourses, which include the Grand National, The Cheltenham festival and the Investec Derby.

He has been the driving force in improving customer experience across the racecourses and diversified its operations using the Jockey club brand to include Jockey Club Live, Jockey Club Services, Rewards4Racing loyalty and successfully raised £25m via the first retail bond in British sport which part-funded the well-received redevelopment of Cheltenham racecourse.

The event will consist of three panels looking at a range of topics:

Panel 1 – Getting the right balance

This panel will discuss if some sports have gone too far in pricing the fans out.

Are sporting events becoming too corporate? What is the answer and how do we get the balance right?

Panel 2 – What does the modern hospitality client want?

This panel will look at what clients want from hospitality and if the industry is meeting their expectations.

What are the right hospitality tiers to offer? How do you maintain the loyalty of long standing customers while increasing the value to the business? How can a venue revise and reposition long standing hospitality facilities?

Panel 3 – Technology & the Future of Ticketing

This panel will look at what trends, innovations and technologies will deliver the next generation of live sport & entertainment ticketing solutions.

How do you balance the commercial requirements and public demand to tickets at major events? How do you balance constitutional and contractual obligations while trying to grow new data? How we can use that data – below the line use of data, intelligent use of insight – to help us to grow the ticketing business?

iSportconnect Chairman Michael Cunnah said: “We are delighted to announce our first Ticketing and Hospitality Masterclass as well as Paul Fisher as the first panellist. This is such a key commercial issue for all sports that it is time that we looked at it in depth.”
