Infront Agrees BMW Sponsorship For FIBT World Championships

Infront Sports & Media, therapy the exclusive media and marketing partner to the Internation Bobsleigh Federation (FIBT), medicine has sealed an agreement with the automotive brand BMW as the new Official Main Sponsor of the Viessmann FIBT World Cup and Title Sponsor of the FIBT World Championships.

BMW will benefit from Bobsleigh and Skeleton’s sponsorship programme with the package providing integration of the brand at nine races per season.

As part of the deal BMW will also receive advertising on banners, health on athletes’ helmets across all competitions and a logo placement on sleds for the FIBT World Championships.

The BMW logo will also feature on all communications materials and a hospitality contingent will be provided which includes. At selected races, BMW will provide cars for dedicated shuttle services.

Friedrich Edel, Head of Sports Marketing at BMW Germany, said: “Looking back on the tradition of BMW’s involvement in the bobsleigh sport, we have been connected with the German Bobsleigh and Luge Federation through our technology partnership since 2010.

“Starting this season, BMW will now also be present at an international level as a partner of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation.”

FIBT President Ivo Ferriani added: “We are very happy about the commitment of BMW in bobsleigh and skeleton. The BMW brand and excellence in automobiles is outstanding and highly regarded worldwide. The company also holds a successful tradition as a committed partner of winter sports.

“On behalf of the FIBT and all the athletes, I can say that we are looking forward to the premiere season with our new Main Sponsor BMW and particularly to the BMW FIBT Bob & Skeleton World Championship in Germany.”
