Huddersfield Town Partners with Local Web Design Firm

July 16, 2012

Huddersfield Town has joined forces with local design firm Worthington Brown to add a new creative spark to the Club in preparation for the upcoming Championship season.

The full service marketing communications agency, established in Holmfirth in 1990, will become the Club’s creative consultant and advisor for the 2012/13 season as part of a new commercial partnership between the two organisations.

Worthington Brown, which also has an office in China, is a local design firm that provides creative graphics, branding, web design, multimedia, marketing and brings a wealth of experience to the Club due to its previous work with local Huddersfield industry leaders such as David Brown, Principle Group, Equi-Trek and Wellhouse Leisure, as well as regional initiatives such as Welcome to Yorkshire and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Business Development Manager Mark Davies joined Worthington Brown’s Neil Worthington and Steve Green to celebrate the new deal.

Commercial Director Jarvis explained: “We’re always delighted to team up with industry leaders, but when they share our roots in Huddersfield that makes it all the better and that is certainly the case with Worthington Brown.

“Over the last few years we have brought control of our design in house to great effect, but Worthington Brown will now act as our ‘guru’ when it comes to new kinds of creative and bring different skills to the table for the Club, such as their ability to build top of the range websites.

“Fans will see the evidence and gains to be made from our new partnership very soon and I can’t wait to build upon the already excellent relationship we have with Neil and his team.”

Neil Worthington, Managing Director of Worthington Brown, commented: “We pride ourselves on being Huddersfield’s leading creative agency and over the last 22 years have built up an impressive portfolio of leading Huddersfield Businesses – covering most sectors from start-up enterprises to PLCs.

“We love to ‘keep it local’ and promote the fact that Huddersfield has some of the best creative talent and innovative entrepreneurialism in the country.

“As a lifelong fan of the Club, it’s great to add Town to our client list and to have the opportunity to mirror each other’s forward thinking, like minded ambitions for the year ahead. The whole team at Worthington Brown are looking forward to what will be an exciting season both on and off the pitch and to build on the creative partnership.”
