Head of Budapest Olympics Movement Says City Should Bid for 2028 Olympics

October 25, 2013

Budapest has a realistic chance of hosting the 2028 Olympic Games and should make a bid for the tournament according to the head of the Budapest Olympics Movement (BOM).

Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy told the weekly Figyelo that Hungary should make the move if the country continues to grow economically.

Szalay-Berzeviczy also suggested that Budapest should submit an application for the 2024 Games, search despite not thinking they would win, because it would bring unvalued experience for the future 2028 bid.
