George Groves Partners with Duffer of St George

Ahead of his boxing showdown with Carl Froch, ‘Saint’ George Groves has signed an endorsement deal with namesake and men’s heritage brand, the Duffer of St George.

The deal means the British Super Middleweight boxer and his team will wear the Duffer of St George and JD Sports brand through training and on fight night.

Groves said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with Duffer of St George ahead of my World title fight on May 31st. I’ve always been a big fan of the brand and am looking forward to working with the guys at Duffer in the coming weeks.

“It seems only natural for ‘Saint’ George Groves to announce a deal with Duffer of St George on St George’s Day!”

The fight will take place in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium and is Groves’ second meeting with Froch after a controversial stoppage in the first meeting.

A JD spokesperson commented: “JD Sports and the Duffer of St George are delighted to have agreed this partnership with ‘Saint’ George Groves ahead of the biggest fight in British Boxing history.

“Like George, Duffer was born in London so it makes perfect sense to partner with the country’s most exciting young talent on his journey to become World Champion.
