September 9, 2016

A.S. Roma have announced that Umberto Gandini will become part of the club’s management staff from 12 September 2016.

He will be proposed as a new Board Member – to be appointed by the Company’s Board of Directors through co-optation – in order to replace Board Member Italo Zanzi and be granted operational powers.

Gandini has a wealth of experience in football governance, having worked for AC Milan for 23 years as Director of Sports Organisation, and as Executive Director for the past year.

Highly-respected within the international football environment, Gandini is also a member of UEFA’s Professional Football Strategy Council, and was Executive Vice-President of the European Club Association for more than eight years.

James Pallotta said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with someone of the experience, knowledge and maturity of Umberto. At AS Roma, we are all excited about him joining us.”
