FOX International Seals European NFL Broadcast Deal

FOX International Channels, 21st Century Fox multimedia business have agreed a two-year deal with NFL International to broadcast one NFL game per window in English across parts of Europe on FOX Sports channels.

NFL fans in Europe will be able to watch on FIC Sunday games, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football and all three U.S. Thanksgiving Day Games in English. FIC will also broadcast all NFL postseason games in English, including the Super Bowl.

The new deal also provides FIC access to NFL programming, such as NFL Game Day, NFL Extra, Road to Playoffs and Road to Super Bowl, as well as select programs from the NFL Network. Subscribers to FIC will also be able to watch NFL content on a variety of FIC’s services.

The partnership with the NFL follows FIC’s ongoing global expansion into sports, which over the past two years has rapidly grown from 17 million households outside of the United States to over 71 million homes across Latin America, South East Asia and Japan and Europe. In Europe, FOX Sports recently launched in the Netherlands and Italy, and is also present in Turkey and Cyprus.
