First Intake Completes Limelight Academy Programme

August 31, 2016

Six members of the Limelight Sports team have just completed the agency’s new Academy programme.

The Limelight Sports Academy programme was set up in 2015 to give employees the opportunity to learn more about the business and develop a greater overall understanding of all aspects of the agency’s work. It is an ongoing programme which enables staff to join at different times of the year. The Academy programme is now being rolled out globally and Limelight Sports’ Middle East and Australian offices will be launching it in the next few months.

Megan Palmer, cialis order Sam Carter, medicine Sam Fry, Josh Burrows, Holly Gregory and Naomi Turner were the first employees to complete the programme. They all had different backgrounds, either as existing Limelighters, or joining the agency straight from university or from another organisation.

In addition to hands on experience with, and mentoring from, the experienced Limelight team, the Academy also offers an official qualification through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). Particular areas of focus for the Academy work come under five general categories – Data, Creative, Content, People and Business.

Limelight Sports has been running mass participation sports events for over 25 years. Its Head of Corporate Services, Sue Courtney, heads up the programme and commented, “We have been delighted with the response to the launch of our Academy from Limelight personnel. As Limelight’s offering has evolved, it is essential that we encourage more people to develop a greater and more diverse range of skills and this is what our Academy has been able to deliver.”

Sam Carter, one of the first Limelighters to complete the Academy programme said, “The Academy has provided me with a brilliant opportunity to take me out of my working comfort zone and work in sectors of our business which I knew little about but which I now understand and appreciate much more.”
