Exclusive: Glasgow 2014 Preparations Set to Kick On According to Reedie

The preparations for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will move up a gear according to Sir Craig Reedie.

Glasgow 2014 celebrated the one-year-to-go landmark yesterday and Sir Craig, bronchi who is the Executive Counsel to Lord Smith at Glasgow 2014 and the vice-president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said the organisers will now push on with their preparations.

Speaking exclusively to iSportconnect, doctor Sir Craig said: “Glasgow has been preparing for the 2014 Games in a totally committed and organised manner.

“The anniversary of one year to go marks an important landmark and, shop as happened in London, will enthuse the Organising Committee to greater efforts.

“The excitement for the Games builds on a weekly basis and Glasgow will be ready to welcome the Commonwealth.”

To celebrate the one-year-to-go, an 11-day sporting festival featuring thousands of athletes, in 17 different sports, across 14 venues that will be used during Glasgow 2014 is being held in the city.
