Everton Manager Roberto Martinez Supports Overseas “39th Game” Idea

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has suggested that an overseas Premier League game would be a great idea to bring English football closer to the international fanbase.
Speaking to reporters on the club’s tour of Singapore, the Spaniard waded in on the debate that has long been running about how to connect with fans around the world with more than just pre-season tours.
A competitive fixture has been suggested previously but was not universally supported. However since then, the appeal of the league worldwide has seen the idea gain more traction.
