ESPN Enjoys Most Watched NBA Draft for 19 Years

The 2014 NBA Draft was the most watched ever on broadcaster ESPN, look with 3.45 million viewers, which makes it the most watched across all networks since 1995.

According to Nielsen, the Draft achieved a 2.3 US household rating, which marked a 15% increase from 2.99 million last year.

The previous record on ESPN was in 2003, when a 2.7 overnight rating was achieved for the historic class which featured LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh.

The top markets for 2014 were Louisville (7.1), Oklahoma City (6.3), Memphis (5.4), Raleigh-Durham (5.2), Cleveland (5.1), Greensboro (5.0), Philadelphia, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Salt Lake City (all with 4.1), and San Antonio (4.0).
