Engagement Lead – Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games

Overview:

The Engagement Lead will play a key role in the development and implementation of a strategic approach to communication and engagement to ensure the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) meet its commercial and community objectives. This role will be Responsible for the proactive management of various engagement and communication content activities delivered by the Corporation. 

The role

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • – Create and assist in the development of communication and engagement opportunities to ensure the PRL projects and programs are delivered successfully and meet the objectives of engaging the local and broader community
  • – Provide strategic communication advice, activities and materials to ensure GOLDOC communication is consistent and of high quality
  • – Lead the development of an ongoing GOLDOC content schedule for Engagement programs and key campaigns, as well as the provision of content when required
  • – Work with relevant GOLDOC Functional Areas to provide communications advice and support as required
  • – Help manage the workloads, people, risks and deadlines of the team to ensure the provision of high quality communication advice and materials to the team
  • – Apply high level research and written communication skills in a concise, accurate and appealing manner, matching writing skills to a variety of mediums and audiences
  • – Collaborate with a range of key stakeholders to identify and create unique digital content for use across GC2018 channels
  • – Work closely with GOLDOC’s Digital team to ensure content strategy is fully aligned
  • – Content creation for key GOLDOC and stakeholder documents, ensuring all communication is of high quality and delivered in a timely manner

About you

The successful candidate for this role with have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a complex organisation. In addition, you’ll have proven experience in communicating with multiple stakeholders whilst managing significant and complex campaigns and projects. Your ability to project manage multiple events and communication programs simultaneously will be at an advanced level. Lastly, you’ll have the adhered ability to create content for an array of mediums.
