Detroit Lions Sign Digital Ticketing Deal with Veritix

July 29, 2013

The National Football League’s (NFL) Detroit Lions has announced it has selected digital ticketing platform Veritix as exclusive primary ticketing provider in a multi-year agreement.

The Lions are the first NFL team on the Veritix platform and join several other leagues utilizing the company’s technology, including the NBA, NHL, American Hockey League, Major League Soccer, NASCAR, and NCAA teams.

Veritix will provide primary ticketing services for all Detroit Lions events, as well as secondary ticketing services for non-football events through Flash Seats, the patented Veritix digital ticketing system. Flash Seats will be available as a digital entry method for fans, making Ford Field the first NFL stadium to offer Flash Seats technology.

Through the Veritix offering, the Lions will have a single, end-to-end system to manage their ticketing operations, including primary sales for all stadium events and secondary sales for non-football events, paper and digital tickets, relationship management tools and data analysis.

“We remain committed to implementing innovative technologies throughout our organization with a goal of engaging fans in a consistent and meaningful way,” said Tom Lewand, President of the Detroit Lions. “The Veritix platform will provide our season ticket holders, fans and partners with the best ticketing features, benefits and experience possible when entering Ford Field.”

The Detroit Lions will now also be able to offer a secondary marketplace for non-football events through Flash Seats. This branded marketplace will provide fans with a safe, reliable and guaranteed secondary market for tickets to events taking place at Ford Field.

“The Detroit Lions are innovators in the NFL, and their selection of Veritix proves they are focused on providing the best possible ticketing and event experience to their guests,” said Guy Villa, Vice President, Sales at Veritix. “We look forward to providing the best ticketing, event marketing and relationship management technologies available and partnering with the Lions for many years to come.”
