Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Backs Potential NFL Franchise in London
February 13, 2014
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has backed a NFL franchise being established in London.
For the first time this year the NFL will visit London for three regular-season games taking place at Wembley Stadium.
America’s most storied franchise will be one of the six showing up in the UK this year, as they play London regular Jacksonville Jaguars.
All three games have sold out of tickets already and many believe a franchise is the next step.
“I think that’s very possible and I’m very much for it,” Jones told Sky Sports about a possible UK franchise.
“These games will be a good indication of the type of support that we could have there but London is one of the few cities outside of the United States that would be a great city internationally for the NFL.”
