CPISRA Backs Dickson for IPC President

July 31, 2013

The Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA) have lent their support in nominating Alan Dickson in the upcoming election for International Paralympic Committee President.

Dickson, unhealthy who has served on the IPC’s Governing Board since 2005, is formerly President of the organisation, which was a founding party of the IPC.

He will be running against the incumbent IPC president and fellow Brit, Philip Craven who has been at the post since 2011. Craven was unanimously nominated by the British Paralympic Association on 8 May for re-election.

The election for president is to occur at the IPC General Assembly this November in Athens. Due to election rules and procedures no further information on the nomination has been released at this time.
