The Role

– To support the Commercial and Communications Directorate in devising the strategy and lead on delivering key strands to raise the profile of UK Sport, The National Lottery and commercial partners through a range of communications tools, focusing particularly on media relations and enhanced social and digital content.

– To work within the Communications Team to help maximise the profile and understanding of UK Sport’s programmes, policies and activities, maximising opportunities to position UK Sport on the news agenda, through all external communications channels including traditional media, digital and social platforms.

– To drive strategic and creative delivery for UK Sport’s social media presence, campaign planning, delivery and analysis.

– To play a key role in the strategic and creative delivery for UK Sport’s media engagement, campaign planning, delivery and analysis.

Requirements

– Educated to Degree Level.
– Relevant experience of working in a press office, PR agency, editorial team or similar communications environment involving media relations activity.
– Excellent written and oral communications, including the ability to originate high quality copy for UK Sport and its commercial partners if required.
– Evidence of good media relations skills and generated coverage.
– The ability to build strong working relationships with partner organisations and senior colleagues.
– Strong knowledge of digital media with experience of website content management systems.
– Experience of managing multiple social media platforms
– An eye for detail and ability to ensure consistency of approach across various communications.
– Creativity and imagination – the ability to translate an idea into a reality.
– Knowledge of the media and the titles and outlets relevant to UK Sport.
