Champions League Final Draws Incredible Rating Figures in Germany

The all-German Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund secured an incredible 21.61 million viewers on Saturday evening in Germany.
The 21.61 million viewers, pills viagra with a 62% share, tuned in to broadcaster ZDF to see Bayern Munich avenge their heart-breaking penalty defeat to Chelsea in their own stadium last year, by defeating Dortmund 2-1.
To put the numbers into perspective, last year’s European Cup final between Spain and Italy drew 20.31 million viewers in the region.
Across Europe
Throughout Europe the final was a success. 2.8 million Dutch people tuned in to watch Arjen Robben score the late winner, whilst 4.2 million viewers, (a 30.8% share), in Spain tuned in to watch, despite Bayern defeating Barcelona and Borussia knocking out Real Madrid in the earlier rounds.
Over 5.5 million Italians watched the game on Mediaset’s Canale 5, a 22.3% share, whilst an added 2.1 million watched on pay-TV network Sky-Italia.
France’s TF1 attracted 4.55 million watchers, a share of 19.5% whilst in the UK, 3.5 million (17.7%) tuned into ITV to watch the final that was being held at London’s Wembley Arena, in the FA’s 150th anniversary.
Worldwide
UEFA are still to release the official global figures but across the world, the Champions League final was reported to draw approximately 200 million viewers, making it more watched than the Super Bowl.
