Carsguide.com.au to Become Major Sponsor of Australian Baseball League

October 25, 2012

Carsguide.com.au today announced it will become an official sponsor of the Australian Baseball League when its third season kicks off on 1st November.

The partnership will see Carsguide.com.au branding across all six team stadiums, a broadcast presence on the ABL’s weekly show on Fox Sports and naming rights to Little League Australia and the under 14 and under 16 National Youth Championships.

A joint venture between Major League Baseball and the Australian Baseball Federation, the Australian Baseball League was created to provide world-class baseball action throughout the summer. The League consists of six teams located throughout Australia – Adelaide Bite, Brisbane Bandits, Canberra Cavalry, Melbourne Aces, Perth Heat and Sydney Blue Sox.

“We believe that partnering with the Australian Baseball League is a great opportunity for Carsguide.com.au to get involved in a national sport that is growing in popularity at a rapid rate,” said Michael Schreck, CEO, Carsguide.com.au. “We’ll not only be supporting the League from a professional perspective, but also through its grassroots work developing the next generation of players.”

“The Australian Baseball League is extremely proud to partner with Carsguide.com.au, a brand with an outstanding consumer reputation and core values that fit perfectly with the League,” says Gaby Anger, National Sponsorship Manager for the ABL.  “We look forward to a productive working relationship with Carsguide.com.au at all levels of the sport here in Australia.”

Almost 40,000 people compete regularly in Baseball around Australia, and more than half of these players are completing at a junior level, including the under 14 and under 16 National Youth Championships and Little League, which Carsguide.com.au is also proudly sponsoring.

The Australian Baseball League season runs from 1st November for 14 weeks, with the League recently announcing a new television partnership that will see Fox Sports show a ‘Game of the Week’ throughout the 2012-13 season.
