Camper Becomes Official Footwear Supplier of Sailing’s Mamma Auto

Camper, health the iconic footwear brand from Mallorca, purchase Spain, has announced an alliance with the Japanese entry “Mamma Aiuto” in the Melges 32 Class.

“Mamma Aiuto” represents Japan in the Melges 32 World Series. An international team that has been competing at the highest level in 2012, with a win in Barcelona and a forth in Puerto Cervo.

Camper will act as the official footwear supplier, and the team has already sailed successfully with Camper´s “Seamar” model, already tried and tested in the Volvo Ocean Race.

Camper recently has been in the limelight with its extraordinary 2nd place finish in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011/12, a campaign managed in collaboration with Emirates Team New Zealand. In the Volvo Ocean Race, Camper with Emirates Team New Zealand not only finished with a heroic 2nd place, but also won the IWC Speed Record, and the Media Crew Member award for onboard journalism. Camper is also the official supplier and proud sponsor of Emirates Team New Zealand in the 34th Americas Cup.
