Bundesliga 2’s Arminia Bielefeld Reveal Alpecin as New Shirt Sponsor

November 29, 2013

Bundesliga 2 club DSC Arminia Bielefeld has announced the Alpecin brand of local based company Dr. Kurt Wolff will be their new main and shirt sponsor.

After the insolvency of the former main sponsor getgoods.de the club was able to conclude with Dr. Kurt Wolff within two weeks brokered by agency SportFive.

As part of the deal, the Alpecin logo will be displayed on the jersey of the professional team starting with the game against FSV Frankfurt on Monday evening. The new commitment is preceded by a decade-long partnership between the Club and the Dr. Wolff Group.

Edward R. Dörrenberg, managing partner of Dr. Wolff Group, said: “With the return in the second Bundesliga, sacrificial playing style of the team and its solid, thoughtful work of the club’s management over the past two years, was created at Arminia Bielefeld a special atmosphere. The fans deserve it, that Alpecin engaged in this framework. We want to trigger an initial spark and appeal to the domestic economy, now go along and support the club. “

Marcus Uhlig, CEO DSC Arminia Bielefeld, added: “I am glad and happy that we succeeded together with our partner SPORTFIVE to come in just 14 days an outstanding option. Alpecin for decades is already on the side Arminia Bielefeld. Together with Alpecin I would also like to invite the companies in our region to use the platform Arminia Bielefeld to move with the club and its fans in the region something.”

Martin Kollenberg, team leader SPORT FIVE Bielefeld: “I would like to thank Dr. Wolff for the constructive discussions. It was quite a Herculean task that was provided to us 14 days ago. With Alpecin now a long-standing partner comes on the chest of the DSC. In no time we were able to tie up with the management of Dr. Wolff Group a comprehensive service package. These include, in addition to the shirt sponsorship for example, additional advertising in the stadium. I am sure that this partnership further impetus will come. “
