Bell’s Brewery Retains Title Sponsorship of Sailboat Race

Bell’s Brewery has renewed its title sponsorship of the annual sailboat race from Port Huron to Michigan’s Mackinac Island through the 2014 event.

Race organizers announced Tuesday that Michigan-based Bell’s Brewery Inc. will continue to sponsor the race, which starts July 14 just north of the Blue Water Bridge. The official name is the “Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race.”

More than 200 boats and about 2,500 sailors participate. The Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit organizes the race on Lake Huron.

Race organizers also are planning a new Charity Preview Party associated with the race on June 30 at Bayview Yacht Club.
