Barnsley Extends CK Beckett Partnership

June 23, 2014

English League One team Barnsley FC have renewed their commercial partnership with industrial recycling company CK Beckett.

The Barnsley-based company has signed a home and away shirt deal which gets underway at the start of next season and runs until the end of the 2016/17 season.
In addition CK Beckett will renew its sponsorship of the South Stand and will become the new sponsors of the Family Area in the East Stand.

As part of the deal, CK Beckett and the Reds will deliver 150 complimentary tickets to schoolchildren across Barnsley every week.

This initiative will guarantee around 3500 children of various ages the chance to see Barnsley in action during the course of the season. Having initially sponsored the club’s shorts for the 2008 FA Cup semi final, CK Beckett has gone on to forge a strong relationship with Barnsley Football Club.

Ben Mansford, Barnsley FC Chief Executive, said: “Barnsley Football Club have enjoyed a special relationship with CK Beckett for more than six years now.
“We’ve developed a truly great partnership and we’re thrilled to have a local company as our principal sponsors. This partnership continues to deliver for both the business, the club, our supporters and the next generation of Barnsley fans.
“The sponsorship of the Family Area will allow us to connect with schoolchildren from across Barnsley. These are future Barnsley fans and it’s important we reach out to them and encourage them to get behind the Club.

“As part of the Family Stand sponsorship, Barnsley and CK Beckett will fund half time activities and entertainment for young fans and their families.

Kevin Beckett, managing director at CK Beckett, said: “It’s a great honour to be able to extend our sponsorship and partnership with Barnsley Football Club.
“The football club is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, brand in Barnsley and being the club’s main sponsor is a brilliant opportunity to get the CK Beckett name out there.

“We’re working with the Club to get more young fans supporting Barnsley and that’s why we’re supporting the Family Stand, the school ticket give-aways and the half time activities.”
