Prince Ali Seeks to Change ‘Culture of Intimidation’ at FIFA

Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan launched his campaign to become the next president of FIFA in London today and is aiming to change the ‘culture of intimidation’ at world football’s governing body.

Prince Ali will be competing with current president Sepp Blatter, therapy former footballer Luis Figo and Dutch Football Association president Michael Van Praag to lead FIFA and the Jordanian says there is a ‘global desire for change’.

“There is a culture of intimidation within FIFA, therapy ” he said at a press conference in London.

“In the past people have taken a principled stand and they have ended up being punished for it. I hope that if things are played fairly and played rightly that things will go in the appropriate way.

“I also believe that an incumbent has a natural advantage but I want to assure the national associations we are moving in the right direction.”

PrinceAli_PressConf2The Jordan FA chief, who has been a FIFA Executive Committee member for the past four years, has called for a debate between all candidates, including Blatter, prior to the elections.

“If we are talking about transparency I would like to see, at least before the elections, a public debate, including the incumbent, so that everybody knows across the world what our positions are. I think that’s only fair to everyone and I’m ready to do it.”

Ali confirmed that he received nominations from England, USA, Jordan, Belarus, Georgia and Malta for the FIFA presidency.

Despite Blatter being the overwhelming favourite, Ali believes there is a long campaign ahead and nobody can be ruled out.

“It’s a long campaign until May 29th and I don’t think anybody should be written off, I think globally there is a desire for change.

World Taekwondo President Offers Full Support For Agenda 2020

World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) President, ampoule Chungwon Choue, has offered the WTF’s complete support for Olympic Agenda 2020 and expressed his 100% commitment to working with the IOC to make a valuable contribution to the development of the Olympic Movement.

The IOC publicly launched the 20+20 recommendations that make up Olympic Agenda 2020 on Tuesday this week at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

WTF President Chungwon Choue said: “At the WTF we have always taken our responsibility to the Olympic Movement very seriously.

“As President Bach has stated, the time for change is now and we are ready to work closely with the IOC to contribute as much as we can to the long-term benefit of the Olympic Movement.

“We fully support all 40 recommendations of the Olympic Agenda 2020 which we have read with great interest.

“We have every confidence that under the leadership of President Bach the recommendations that are voted in by the IOC Session in December will have a real and positive impact on the future development of the Olympic Movement.

“To be successful in taekwondo, you need to be able to react quickly to the situation you are in and take the necessary actions.

“The same principles apply to the WTF. To be successful as an organisation, we have always been ready to adapt and evolve to ensure that we are providing the very best service for athletes and fans.

V8 SuperTourers CEO Leads Buyout in Ownership Change

New Zealand’s premier racing category, ampoule V8 SuperTourers announced a new ownership structure which sees current CEO, health Ray Noonan, lead a buyout from the founding shareholders.

Noonan and David Sutherland make up the new owners and the two have other business interests together including Cogent Limited.

Noonan said: “The new owners bring a significant capital base which will overcome the on-going issues with cashflow and allow the organisation to focus on its core business – the development of motor racing in New Zealand.

“Dave and I have worked together for the last decade and I know that his marketing brain together with his governance experience will become an asset to both V8 SuperTourers and to motorsport in general.”

The sums of the deal were undisclosed but Noonan said existing trade creditors would be paid.

NFL’s Green Light To Betting Industry Advertising

The National Football League (NFL) has targeted casinos and other state-licensed gambling-related operations in a new advertising scheme, adiposity it has been announced.

However, despite opening the door to accepting commercial revenue from the betting and gaming industry, the League is retaining its overall attitude towards gambling.

“We remain steadfast in our opposition to the proliferation of gambling on NFL games,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. “There is a distinction between accepting advertising in a limited fashion and gambling on the outcome of our games.”

Business Intelligence

  • Experience with data warehousing, Oracle databases, ETL and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server/SQL Programming, SSIS, SRS, MS Visual Studio, Microsoft .Net Framework.
  • Experience with MicroStrategy and Tableau software.

Education and/or Experience
