World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) President, ampoule Chungwon Choue, has offered the WTF’s complete support for Olympic Agenda 2020 and expressed his 100% commitment to working with the IOC to make a valuable contribution to the development of the Olympic Movement.

The IOC publicly launched the 20+20 recommendations that make up Olympic Agenda 2020 on Tuesday this week at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

WTF President Chungwon Choue said: “At the WTF we have always taken our responsibility to the Olympic Movement very seriously.

“As President Bach has stated, the time for change is now and we are ready to work closely with the IOC to contribute as much as we can to the long-term benefit of the Olympic Movement.

“We fully support all 40 recommendations of the Olympic Agenda 2020 which we have read with great interest.

“We have every confidence that under the leadership of President Bach the recommendations that are voted in by the IOC Session in December will have a real and positive impact on the future development of the Olympic Movement.

“To be successful in taekwondo, you need to be able to react quickly to the situation you are in and take the necessary actions.

“The same principles apply to the WTF. To be successful as an organisation, we have always been ready to adapt and evolve to ensure that we are providing the very best service for athletes and fans.

“Working with the IOC, we will continue to innovate to demonstrate our long-term value to the Olympic Movement.”
