FIBA announce Champions League media partnerships

The Basketball Champions League Board have announced a partnership with the media group Perform and the media agency TAF Sports Marketing, cough to distribute and sell the media rights of the Basketball Champions Leagues games.

This partnership will guarantee an investment of EUR 50 million in live production, broadcast services and data, as well as editorial services, over the first 5 years of the Basketball Champions League.

“Basketball Champions League Media” will be created to deliver maximum exposure for the Basketball Champions League on multiple platforms.

Paris to Unveil 2024 Olympic Bid Next Week

Paris will officially be submitting its bid to host the 2024 Olympics on Tuesday, discount reports Around the Rings.

Sports leaders in France will gather at the National Olympic Committee’s (NOC) hadquarters in the French capital to outline their plans.

The bid will be presented to the French sports movement by bid leaders Bernard Lapasset and Etienne Thobois.

Paris will be going up against Boston, cough Budapest, Hamburg and Rome in the race to host the 2024 Games.

The host city will be named by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2017 in Lima, Peru.

Tokyo 2020 Receives 26 Applications for Inclusion into Olympics

The Tokyo 2020 organising committee has received applications from 26 IOC-recognised International Federations (IFs) for their events to be included into the 2020 Olympic Games.

The IFs were confirmed at at a press conference following a Tokyo 2020 Executive Board meeting today.

In his 17-year career, Raphael has worked in many different athletes, from professional golf and football, to Olympic medal winning Snowboarder Jenny Jones. More recently, Raphael has led teams of practitioners and departments and has developed strategic skills and methods to ensure science, medicine and performance support makes maximum impact.

The Chicago Sky is seeking an experienced, impotent passionate, and enthusiastic sales person to join our staff and become a leader in the sports and entertainment industry. This position is for a full time Ticket Sales Manager who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed to exceed monthly and annual sales goals. The ideal candidate must be a competitive, experienced sales professional who leads by example, possesses the ability to develop strong relationships, maintains a professional attitude, has the ability to manage and mentor a staff, and maximizes opportunities. Ticket sales will be generated via phone calls, prospecting, referrals, social selling, and face-to-face presentations with a strong focus on relationship sales and customer retention.

Responsibilities:
1. Sell full season tickets, partial season tickets, and group packages for the Chicago Sky
2. Make 50+ outbound phone calls on a daily basis
3. Manage Account Executives and Interns through continuous training, individual feedback, one on one sessions, group training in order to improve overall sales skills, knowledge and achievement of goals
4. Run weekly meetings and delegate game-day responsibilities
5. Continuously create and implement strategies to prospect, develop, and grow ticket sales opportunities and ideas
6. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales process utilizing Archtics and SCORE CRM
7. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals in the areas of season, group, and partial-plan ticket packages
8. Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
9. Game night responsibilities as well as attend outside events

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing a related field or equivalent job experience in a related field
• Two-years of successful sales and management experience (preferably in the sports or entertainment industry)
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
• Strong time management and organizational skills as well as exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industry and women’s sports
• Ability to work as a team player while being open and willing to learn

Infantino reveals World Cup expansion plans

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed his desire to expand the World Cup to 48 teams in the future.

Infantino was speaking during a visit to Colombia with the idea to be discussed by the Council in January.

He said to Reuters: “The idea is that 16 teams would qualify directly to the group stage and the other 32 would play in a preliminary phase, discount in the country where the World Cup is being played — they would play for the remaining 16 places,” 

“It means we continue with a normal World Cup for 32 teams, but 48 teams go to the party.”

Previously Infantino had expressed his desire to expand the World Cup following te 2022 event in Qatar to 40 teams. 

Liverpool extend InstaForex partnership in Asia

Liverpool FC and InstaForex have today announced an extension of their partnership that will see the relationship continue a further two years.

InstaForex first began its journey as Liverpool FC’s Official Online Forex and Binary Options Trading Partner in Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2014, and the new agreement will see this journey extend until 2018.
