Great Clips to Sponsor Nascar Driver Kasey Kahne in 2013

Great Clips Inc., allergy the world’s largest salon brand, has joined Hendrick Motorsports as a primary sponsor of the team’s No. 5 Chevrolets with driver Kasey Kahne for three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in 2013.

Great Clips was Kahne’s co-primary sponsor in the Nov. 4 race at Texas Motor Speedway, marking the company’s first-ever Sprint Cup sponsorship. In 2013, the Minneapolis-based company will be the No. 5 team’s primary sponsor March 17 at Bristol, Tenn., July 28 at Indianapolis and Sept. 22 at Loudon, N.H.

Kahne, 32, has earned 14 career victories and 26 pole positions in Sprint Cup Series competition. In his first season with Hendrick Motorsports, the Enumclaw, Wash., native secured his third career Chase for the Sprint Cup berth and recorded two wins, four poles, 12 top-five finishes and 19 top-10s. He finished the 2012 campaign a career-best fourth in championship points.

Great Clips, which has more than 3,000 locations and nearly 30,000 stylists throughout the United States and Canada, has a long history with Kahne. Since 2003, the company has supported his efforts as both a driver and car owner across multiple racing series.

Great Clips has utilized NASCAR as a marketing platform since 2000. Its relationships have included sponsorship of Turner Motorsports, which will continue in 2013 with Kahne running select events, and the recent Great Clips 200 race entitlement at Phoenix International Raceway.

Rolex Extends US Sailing Sponsorship

US Sailing and Rolex Watch U.S.A. today announced that the iconic watch brand will extend its support of sailing’s national governing body through the renewal of its long-standing sponsorship. 

While continuing its position as the organization’s official timepiece and title sponsor of US Sailing’s Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year Awards, Rolex will elevate its support of US Sailing by becoming a patron of its Afterguard and Medalist programs.

The Afterguard is US Sailing’s highest level donor program, with a mission of leadership, integrity and advancement for the sport of sailing in the United States. Afterguard donations fund restricted projects of mutual interest between donor and the organization as well as unrestricted gifts to support operations. The Medalist Program supports the Olympic Sailing Program whose mission is providing a path to Olympic and Paralympic pre-eminence for the sailors of the United States.

NVT Group Partners Glasgow 2014

NVT Group, a Scottish IT firm has been announced as the technology services integrator for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Organisers said NVT Group, which is based in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, will create up to 15 modern apprenticeships to help the company fulfil its role.

The firm currently employs 75 people and will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, testing and operation of the technology infrastructure required to ensure key elements of the Games are carried out successfully.

Glasgow 2014’s chief executive David Grevemberg said: “I’m delighted to have NVT Group – a home-grown Scottish IT business success story – bring its expertise to enable us to maximise the performance of the technology required to deliver a modern multi-sports global event.

“Effective technology infrastructure and service platforms are essential to ensuring the high levels of connectivity and information flow that are essential to delivering a high-performance Games environment.”

Druh Belts & Buckles to Sponsor European Team at 2013 Solheim Cup

Druh Belts & Buckles is to supply the belts to the European Team to wear on course during The 2013 Solheim Cup when the biennial matches between Europe and the USA take place next August at the Colorado Golf Club. 

The appointment of Druh Belts as official supplier follows on from 2011 when Druh first supplied belts for the European Team when they won the event in such sensational style at Killeen Castle in Ireland.

As holders, price the European Team will need 14 points to retain The Solheim Cup in the USA, prostate with the U.S. Team needing 14½ points to regain the coveted Waterford Crystal prize. The U.S. team holds an 8-4 lead in the matches, here which began in 1990.

Sam Bat Named Official Bat of Australian Baseball Federation

The Australian Baseball Federation (ABF) have announced a new partnership deal with Sam Bat to be the Official Bat of the ABF. 

Sam Bat’s distinctive bat logo, pills already familiar to Australian Baseball League (ABL), will now be seen on bats of the Australian national teams and at ABF events around the country.

Brett Pickett, Chief Executive Officer of the ABF, said; “We are very pleased with Sam Bat’s extension of their sponsorship of baseball in Australia.  Sam Bat is well known as a high quality baseball bat that will encourage excellence as our teams compete at the national and international level.  This is an exciting time for baseball as we progress with the ABL and joint national partnerships; and Sam Bat is a natural partner for the whole of our sport.”

Nike Extends Singapore National Soccer Team Sponsorship

Nike Singapore announced have renewed their sponsorship with Singapore national and youth teams until 2016.

A new kit home and away playing kit was also unveiled and the national team will be wearing it at the 2012 ASEAN Football Championship (AFF Suzuki Cup).

“We are happy to be continuing our partnership with FAS and hope that this will inspire the players to achieve a breakthrough performance at the AFF Suzuki Cup and bring the title back to Singapore, erectile ” said Vijaya Kumar Jayaraj, anabolics | the country marketing manageer for Nike Singapore.

Zainudin Nordin, ambulance the president of the Football Association of Singapore, welcomed the news.

“We are delighted that Nike Singapore has extended the partnership with FAS to kit the Singapore national teams,” said Mr Zainudin.

The Singapore home kit will be in the traditional red and white hue that is synonymous with the Lions and the city state.

The away kit is a throwback to historic jerseys of the past and in classic blue, which was the first colour choice for the jerseys in the 1970s and 1980s, reflecting Singapore’s identity as an island city.

An abstract Lions logo is emblazoned on the inside of the jersey to inspire and ignite a sense of national pride amongst the players.

“I’m very excited to finally make my debut at the AFF Suzuki Cup,” said Hariss Harun, 21, who missed the 2008 and 2010 editions because of injury. “I am raring to go and will definitely do my best to help Singapore progress to the later stages, and hopefully go on and win it for a fourth time.”

Infiniti, click die Nobelmarke des japanischen Autobauers Nissan baut seine Partnerschaft mit dem Formel-1-Rennstall Red Bull Racing aus und wird ab 2013 in den Teamnamen integriert. Als ‚Infiniti Red Bull Racing‘ wird das Team somit 15 Millionen Euro pro Jahr zusätzlich zur Verfügung haben. Der Sportbild sagte Motorsportchef Helmut Marko: „Das Budget wird steigen“. 

Seit 2011 besteht die Partnerschaft mit der Premium-Marke von Nissan. „Die ersten 24 Monate waren sehr nützlich für beide Seiten, cough aber unsere vertiefte Beziehung wird weitere Vorteile für Infiniti und Red Bull Racing bringen“, sagt Infiniti-Präsident Johan de Nysschen und verspricht sich für die Zukunft vor allem mehr Markenpräsenz. 

Team-Chef Christian Horner sagt: „Was das Marketing angeht, hat Infiniti die Partnerschaft mit Red Bull Racing sehr gut genutzt und die Marke binnen kurzer Zeit sehr bekannt gemacht.“ Künftig rückt die technische Zusammenarbeit in den Mittelpunkt. Die technischen Fähigkeiten von Infiniti künftig mit jenen von Motorenlieferant Renault zu kombinieren, sei laut Horner eine große Chance. 

Horner widerlegt mit seiner Aussage Medienspekulationen aus dem vergangenen Jahr, nach denen das Team in Zukunft nicht mehr mit Motoren von Renault fahren würde. 2011 hieß es, dass Infiniti als Nissan-Tochter den Nissan-Anteilseigner Renault ab 2013 als Motorenlieferant von Red Bull ablösen werde. „Ausschließen würde ich nichts“, hatte Andreas Sigl, Global Director Formula One bei Infiniti, daraufhin noch im August gegenüber Sponsors gesagt.

VW investiert weiter in Funsport

Das größte Kitesurf-Event der Welt, symptoms der Kitesurf World Cup in St. Peter-Ording, decease und einer der größten Autobauer der Welt werden weiter zusammenarbeiten: Wie das Magazin Sponsors berichtet, health wird die Volkswagen AG auch in den nächsten Jahren die Funsport-Veranstaltung unterstützen. 

Der Automobilhersteller verlängert den Vertrag um zwei Jahre und ist 2013 zum dritten Mal in Folge Titelsponsor der einzigen Deutschlandstation der World Tour, die von der Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) organisiert wird. Die Veranstaltung wird auch im kommenden Jahr dementsprechend „Beetle Kitesurf World Cup“ heißen – benannt nach einem Auto-Modell von VW. 

Neben dem Namenssponsoring ist der Automobilkonzern mit Fahrzeugpräsentationen, VIP-Stand und Promotionaktionen auf dem Eventgelände am Strand von St. Peter-Ording präsent. Volkswagen hatte 2011 den US-amerikanischen Kosumgüterkonzern Colgate-Palmolive als Titelsponsor abgelöst. 

Am 12. bis 21. Juli 2013 wird der Beetle Kitesurf World Cup zum achten Mal in St. Peter-Ording gastieren. Auch das Nordseebad hat mit der veranstaltenden Agentur ACT Agency seinen bestehenden Vertrag als Gastgeber und Partner des World Cups um zwei Jahre verlängern. 

Neben dem Sponsorship im Kitesurfsport ist Volkswagen zudem als Sponsor beim PWA Windsurf World Cup auf Sylt aktiv. 2011 ist der Konzern mit der Marke Volkswagen Pkw als so genannter Main Partner bei dem Windsurf-Event eingestiegen.

OCBC Bank Could Become Naming Rights Sponsor of Singapore Sports Hub

Singaporean financial services company, viagra 40mg OCBC Bank is reportedly in negotiations to become naming rights sponsor of Singapore Sports Hub.

The deal for the US$1.1 billion, 35 hectare sports precinct would not include naming rights for its 55,000 seat stadium, which under the Government agreement will remain without commercial naming.

According to reports, the 6,000-capacity indoor aquatic centre, 3,000-capacity multi-purpose arena, 41,000 square metre retail, restaurant and entertainment space, water sports centre and the 12,000-capacity Singapore Indoor Stadium would all carry OCBC Bank branding.

The naming rights deal would be by far the largest sponsorship deal in Singapore.{jcomments on}

John Smith’s Ends Grand National Sponsorship

UK racecourse, Aintree is on the search for a new sponsor after John Smith’s ended its sponsorship of the Grand National after the 2013 renewal of the race.

The beer producer has leant its support to the National since 2005 and told The Times it was a “difficult” decision to end its sponsorship of the three-day April meeting.

John Smith’s spokesman David Jones said: “We will continue to be involved with the sport at other courses, including York, Newcastle and Brighton.

“The Grand National has been one of the jewels in our sponsorship crown and this decision was difficult.

“We will be exploring ways in which John Smith’s can continue to be involved in the three-day meeting and talks with Aintree will take place in the coming months.”

Aintree chairman Lord Daresbury is confident the meeting will not be short of suitors.

He said: “I’m sad about it. With a new management team in place, it comes at a bad time and puts more pressure on us all.

“It would naturally have been easier if John Smith’s had been willing to extend the contract again, but I am completely confident the race will attract plenty of new interest.”
