JCB Renews Sponsorship of Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham Racecourse

JCB, a construction and agricultural machinery manufacturer has extended its sponsorship of the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham Racecourse for a further six years.

JCB, who has sponsored the race since 2002, will also continue with its sponsorship of the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trials as part of ‘The Road to Cheltenham’ series at The Open, International and Festival Trials Day meetings for another six years.

JCB Worldwide Marketing Director Matt McClurg said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Triumph Hurdle for the next six years.

Reigning WNBA Champions Minnesota Lynx Announces Jersey Sponsor

Reigning Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) champions Minnesota Lynx have announced a multi-year partnership with Mayo Clinic that includes marquee placement on the team’s home and away jerseys.

The new agreement also designates Mayo Clinic as the exclusive presenting partner for 2014 Lynx season, which tips off on May 16 at Washington. 

This agreement between the Lynx and Mayo Clinic is part of a previously announced strategic collaboration that includes the development of a new state-of-the-art training facility and sports medicine center in Mayo Clinic Square, formerly known as Block E in downtown Minneapolis. 

“This new collaboration with Mayo Clinic will help elevate our organization to even greater heights in terms of both recognition and brand association,” said Lynx Executive Vice President Roger Griffith. “The jersey marquee is one element in a wide-ranging partnership with Mayo Clinic. The Lynx are currently one of six WNBA teams (Indiana, Phoenix, Tulsa, San Antonio, Washington) with a marquee jersey sponsor.

Mayo Clinic will also become the medical provider for the Lynx for the 2015 season.

Central Coast Mariners have announced that the A-League has announced Tibet Spring 5100 Water as front of shirt partner for the remainder of their 2014 AFC Champions League Group Stage campaign.

Tibet Spring 5100 Water’s association with the Mariners extends to last season’s AFC Champions League knockout phase, prostate when the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed company partnered with the Club for its two-leg tie against eventual continental winners, cough Guangzhou Evergrande.

With Phil Moss’s men set to face Chinese Super League heavyweights Beijing Guoan on Wednesday before hosting the popular capital city side again on Tuesday 1 April in Gosford, Tibet Spring 5100 Water has pledged its support to the Mariners’ Asian aspirations once again.

Dafabet Announced as New Title Sponsor of Snooker’s World Championship

Online betting firm Dafabet has been announced as the new title sponsor of the World Championship, World Snooker has announced. 

The newly named Dafabet World Championship will run from April 19 to May 5 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. The top 16 seeds plus 16 qualifiers will be competing for one of the most famous trophies in sport, as well as a record top prize of £300,000. 

The 17-day tournament will be televised in over 70 countries worldwide to a global audience of over 300 million. 

Ronnie O’Sullivan will be defending the title he won for a fifth time last year.

Tattersalls to Title Sponsor York Racecourse’s Acomb Stakes

Race auctioner Tattersalls has expanded its sponsorship of York Racecourse to include sponsorship of the Group Three Acomb Stakes on the opening day of the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival.

The Tattersalls Acomb Stakes will offer £60,000 in prize money and regularly attracts top quality two year olds, most notably King’s Best who followed up his victory on the Knavesmire with classic success in the 2,000 Guineas of the millennium year.

Run on Wednesday August 20 this year, the race is the juvenile highlight of a race programme that includes York’s highest rated contest, the Group One Juddmonte International. Cumulative prize money for the opening day of the Ebor Festival exceeds £1m.

Tattersalls will also be continuing its long- standing support for another Group Three race at York, the Tattersalls Musidora, a contest for the leading fillies of the classic generation that has benefitted from their sponsorship at the Dante Festival each May since 1986.

Stoke City Announces Warrior as New Kit Supplier

Stoke City FC have announced today that Warrior will be their new kit supplier a day after the Premier League club revealed an end to their partnership with adidas.

adidas have been the Club’s kit provider since 2010. Warrior will take up the role in June and will be the second Premier League club after Liverpool to partner with the American brand.

As part of the deal, anabolics Warrior will design the Club’s home and away kits, along with training wear.

City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “We are delighted to have strengthened our partnership structure by signing an agreement for Warrior to become our new kit provider.

“Warrior are an exciting brand to work with and next season we will be one of just two English clubs to wear their products, alongside Liverpool.

Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae Secures New Backer

Two-time Ironman World Champion Mirinda ‘Rinny’ Carfrae has secured the backing of swim apparel and wetsuit specialist TYR Sport.
