American Express Gets Brighton & Hove Albion Training Ground Naming Rights

English Championship club Brighton & Hove Albion has announced a multi-year naming rights agreement with American Express for the club’s new training ground and academy facility.

The state-of-the-art new training complex in Lancing, adiposity the ‘American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, sickness ’ welcomes the players for the first time today as the squad’s pre-season schedule begins. 

This latest agreement between the club and American Express sees the financial services company assume Principal Club Partner status, including naming rights to the main building, indoor facility, first team training pitches, plus additional access rights. 

American Express already holds naming rights for the American Express Community Stadium and is the club’s shirt sponsor as well as a key partner of Albion in the Community (AITC), the club’s charitable arm. 

Albion chief executive Paul Barber said, “We are absolutely delighted that American Express has agreed to become our naming rights partner for our new training ground and academy. 

“The club enjoys a hugely successful relationship with American Express and we are delighted that its support has now been extended to include one of the finest football training ground and academy facilities anywhere in the world. 

“From a commercial point of view, the revenue we have secured from this new agreement will contribute to our ongoing financial fair play targets.”

Samsung Becomes Title Sponsor of Sopot Round of World Match Racing Tour

Organisers of the Sopot Match Race, viagra buy Stage 3 of the 2014 Alpari World Match Racing Tour, have announced Samsung as Title Partner of the event from 31 July – 3 August.

This year will be the 11th edition of the Sopot Match Race and the first year the event joins the Alpari World Match Racing Tour.

Samsung joins a list of established partners of the Sopot Match Race including official watch partner Albert Riele who have produced a limited edition of 250 pieces for the event. Other partners include the City of Sopot, Ferrari, Moet and Chandon champagne, Audi, Garmin and Clear Frame.

Amlin to Title Sponsor Super Aguri Formula E Team

The Super Aguri Formula E team is set to be rebranded after independent insurance company Amlin became their new title sponsor.

The Amlin Aguri Formula E team are set to race in the FIA Formula E Championship in its inaugural season while also adding British racer Katherine Legge to their driver lineup.

She is the first female driver announced for the Championships and will join the grid in September.

Legge joins previously confirmed drivers Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi at Audi Sport Abt, erectile Sam Bird and Jaime Alguersuari at Virgin Racing, generic Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok at Mahindra Racing, Nick Heidfeld and Stéphane Sarrazin at Venturi, Franck Montagny at Andretti Autosport and Jarno Trulli at TrulliGP. 

Team Principal Mark Preston said: “Amlin’s corporate expertise and our racing experience makes for a potent combination.  Formula E will be a very exciting and demanding championship and I think it brings an interesting new dimension to the sport. The renewed collaboration marks the 18th consecutive year in which the Mobil 1 brand has been a major associate sponsor for Corvette Racing and the “Official Lubricant of Corvette Racing.”

Swiss watch manufacturer EDOX has been appointed as the Official Timekeeper of the Hellenic Match Racing Tour.

The Hellenic Match Racing Tour is a brand used circuit in Greece, with eight world class teams pitched against each other in a one-on-one duel of match racing strategy and tactics.

SG Dynamo Dresden Announce New Shirt Sponsor

Bundesliga 3 team SG Dynamo Dresden has announced Feldschlosschen as their new shirt sponsor.

The local traditional brewery is expanding its existing commitment and will be a partner for the next two years. The company has already supported the club from 1998 to 2003 in five seasons as shirt sponsor. The deal was brokered by SPORTFIVE.

Borussia Dortmund Sponsor Evonik Acquires Stake in Team

Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund has revealed one of its major sponsors Evonik has secured a 9.06 percent stake in the club.

Chemicals maker Evonik  injected 26.7 million euros into the German club. Dortmund plans to use the proceeds in the player transfer market, viagra strengthening its equity base and open a representative office in Asia.

Dortmund, also known as BVB, extended its main sponsor agreement with Evonik to the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season. The current contract would have expired in 2016.

“The new sponsorship agreement and Evonik’s stake in BVB mean we will be consistently able to field top players both in Germany and abroad,” Dortmund Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke said in a statement.

Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank earlier this month said it had considered taking a stake in the club but decided against it.

Evonik, a maker of high-tech plastics, feed additives and clear acrylic sheet, started sponsoring the football club in 2006 to boost public awareness of the Evonik brand, which it introduced in 2007. Its previous businesses were known as Degussa and RAG.

New shares are being issued to Evonik at 4.37 euros apiece, a 5 percent discount over the average closing price over the last five trading days, Dortmund said. The shares traded 1.6 percent lower at 4.45 euros at 1105GMT (12.05 p.m. BST).

Dortmund signalled there may be more projects to be funded by new investors.

“The Executive Board will continue its exploratory discussions with companies that have an interest in a strategic partnership,” the club said.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) have revealed today that Swinging Skirts will participate as an Ambassador Partner for the inaugural International Crown, to be played July 24-27, 2014 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, MD. 

Swinging Skirts joins recently announced Hana Financial Group, PANDORA Jewelry, Rolex and UL as an Ambassador Partner.

The Swinging Skirts Golf Team is a private, Taiwanese non-profit organization made up of both men and women amateur golfers with a shared goal of growing the game of golf across the globe via sponsoring top women’s golf tournaments and top female players.

BLK Becomes Official Apparel Supplier of Newcastle Jets

A-League team Newcastle Jets have inked a new long-term partnership with leading international sports apparel brand BLK who will become the Club’s Official Apparel Supplier.

BLK, a subsidiary of WRS Group, will produce playing jerseys, training gear and merchandise for the Jets Hyundai A-League and FOXTEL National Youth League teams through to the end of the 2016/17 season.

The deal marks BLK’s first entry into A-League football as the brand continues its expansion, which includes teams across the NRL, AFL and Super Rugby in Australia and New Zealand. BLK was also recently announced as the Official Apparel Supplier for the FOXTEL Hyundai A-League All Stars

Newcastle Jets CEO Robbie Middleby commented: “From our first interaction we have been extremely impressed with the BLK team and their desire to be part of the A-League football family,” Middleby said.

“We are delighted to sign this three-year partnership and hope BLK will be part of an exciting new chapter for the Club.

2015 SEA Games Acquires SingTel as New Sponsor

Singapore’s 2015 SEA Games has secured another sponsor after local telecommunications giant SingTel signed on as a partner.

The sponsorship is worth $15 million and covers next-generation multimedia solutions and technological infrastructure of which $3 million will be in services like wifi, and high speed internet and mobile services.

Richard Seow, Chairman of Sponsorship and Marketing Advisory Sub-committee of the Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee (Singsoc) said “This timely partnership will not only allow us to capture, interpret and co-create compelling shareable content but will allow the games to leverage on their comprehensive portfolio of service, that is ever so critical in today’s working environment.”

Earlier this week, NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) and FairPrice Foundation pledged S$5 million to the Games with $2 million cash from FairPrice Foundation and SGD $3 million value in kind from NTUC FairPrice.
