American Beach Volleyball Series Secure Jose Cuervo Sponsorship

Tequila producer Jose Cuervo has sponsored a new three-stop American beach volleyball series.

The new tour, adiposity which begins in Manhattan on August 26, drugs will be called the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball Series and will carry a total purse of US$500, prostate 000. After Manhattan, it will travel to Miami and conclude in Hermosa Beach on September 25. The Manhattan event will offer US$200,000 of the prize money with the other two giving out US$150,000 each.

The news comes as a boost after the Association of Professional Volleyball was forced to cease operations due to financial hardship in August 2010. It is believed that United States of America Volleyball will be running the tour.  

Managing director of Beach USA Volleyball, Dave Williams, said: “For us there was a different void in the market with AVP ceasing operations, so it is very important for us to get these events up and running first.”

Sean Scott, winner of the first two tournaments in the rival Corona Tour, added: “The events that have been going on have been a bit reduced in prize money, so the amount that is being put up for these events is really exciting.”
