The Georgia World Congress Center Authority Board of Governors voted unanimously to validate the contract for 360 Architecture to be the lead architect for the Atlanta Falcons’ new $1 billion stadium.

The maximum price for the firm’s design is capped at $35 million. Conceptual design approval is scheduled for early June, stomach with design approval in late October and design development approval in April 2014.

“Selecting a lead architect is a very significant decision in the new stadium process, unhealthy ” said Falcons President and CEO Rich McKay, in a statement. “360’s creativity and qualifications made them the best fit for this project, and we believe they will put us in the best position to deliver the ultimate game day experience for our fans, as well as serving at the highest level the needs of current Georgia Dome events and other new events in the future.”

360 Architecture designed the most recent NFL stadium — Met Life Stadium in New Jersey, home of the New York Jets and Giants.
