MLS Deny Chivas Takeover Rumours

Major League Soccer (MLS) has denied that Chivas USA are to be taken over by the league and relocated.

Reports emerged suggesting that Chivas USA, order who are based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, would be taken over by the MLS, but the league has moved to stop the rumour mill.

“Major League Soccer is aware of recent media speculation concerning Chivas USA,” read a statement from the league.

“Such speculation is completely unfounded and untrue.

“MLS is fully supportive of the current owners of Chivas USA and has never considered taking over the club or moving it.”
