November 21, 2016
Following Ron Dennis’ upcoming departure from McLaren after 35 years, Zak Brown has accepted a senior role running the Group.
The news comes just a week after Dennis was put on gardening leave until January, after being told to leave his job as chairman and CEO of the McLaren Group by fellow shareholders.
Brown, an iSportconnect member, is the former CEO of Just Marketing International which he founded in 1995 and became the world’s largest and most influential motor sports marketing services company. Earlier this year, Brown announed he would quit his role as CSM CEO by the end of the year.
