Xtep and Spanish Soccer Team Villarreal Team Up

Xtep, a Chinese sports fashion brand, has agreed a five-year sponsorship and supply deal with Spanish La Liga side Villarreal C.F.

As an official technical sponsor and exclusive provider of sportswear and accessories, Xtep will supply the team until 30th June 2016, in addition to paying a fee of US$6.4 million in five yearly installments.

Part of the deal will see the Xtep logo appear in television broadcasts of Villarreal games and within venues for all matches played by the team in La Liga and the Copa del Rey. The company will also have a full-page advertisement in each of the club’s monthly magazines, and launch a new Villarreal-themed product line.

“We are very happy about the agreement. La Liga is one of the most influential football leagues and Villarreal are an excellent team in this top division.” The chairman of the fashion brand stated. Ding Shui Po continted “The club is characterised by its team spirit, energy and determination, which is in line with Xtep’s sports image and pursuit of excellence. We believe the sponsorship will become a big driver of our development in Europe and even the world, accelerate our pace to go global and establish our foothold in international football.”
