World Rugby CEO Brett Gosper Confirmed as Panellist for First London Directors’ Club of 2015

January 14, 2015

iSportconnect is delighted to announce the first London Directors’ Club event of the year will be held in March.

The event will take place on March 17th with World Rugby CEO Brett Gosper confirmed as the first panellist.

Gosper was named as CEO of World Rugby (previously IRB) in 2012 following a distinguished career with major international marketing services and media companies including Ogilvy, Havas, Omnicom and most recently as CEO of McCann Erickson Europe, Middle East and Africa and CEO of McCann Erickson USA.

As Chief Executive of World Rugby and Managing Director of Rugby World Cup Limited, Brett Gosper is responsible for the strategic and business operations of Rugby’s global governing federation.

Brett oversees the implementation of World Rugby’s record investment, development and player welfare strategies, the delivery of which is set to be a record-breaking Rugby World Cup 2015 in England.

Originally starting in London but now with an impressive international roster, iSportconnect Directors’ Club events are a gathering of exclusively invited director level delegates, partaking in a BBC Question Time-style discussion with a panel of well-established executives from the sport industry.

Followed by networking, the discussion is held under Chatham House rules, allowing for an open and free flowing debate.

iSportconnect Chairman Michael Cunnah said: “We are delighted to welcome Brett as our first panellist for the first London Directors’ Club event of the year. His current role and previous experience will give us good insight into sports business issues on a global basis.”

World Rugby CEO Brett Gosper said: “I am delighted to be joining the iSportconnect London Directors’ Club event to participate in what promises to be a fascinating, engaging and informative discussion with representatives from the sports industry.

“2015 is a massive year for Rugby and World Rugby with the biggest-ever Rugby World Cup being hosted in England and Cardiff and what better place to host this Directors’ Club event than in London, which will play host to some mouth-watering Rugby World Cup fixtures.”
