World Archery Agrees SendtoNews Distribution Deal

May 14, 2013

SendtoNews has inked a deal with World Archery to distribute event highlights and other video content through its News Partnership Network, order comprised of top television, radio, print, and online news outlets throughout North America and abroad.
Digital sports news agency SendtoNews debuted its multimedia distribution platform at the 2010 Winter Olympics and today distributes video content for premier sports properties, such as professional golf, hockey, soccer, motorsports and others.

The new partnership enables World Archery to quickly distribute highlights and interviews from international tournaments, such as the ongoing World Cup in Shanghai, to local and international media markets.

“SendtoNews’ expertise in distributing premium sports video highlights enables us to connect with local and international media markets in a timely manner,” said WA Marketing & Communications Director Didier MIEVILLE. “The 2012 Olympic Games were a resounding success for archery and its popularity world-wide. We want to capitalise on that success and continue to connect with international markets leading up to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio.”

The eighth edition of the World Cup is starting this week, with the first stage taking place in Shanghai until 19 May. The world’s top archers have gathered in the Chinese city for the first major archery event of 2013, marking the start of a new Olympic cycle.

“We are very pleased to add this Olympic sport to our growing roster of sports video content,” states SendtoNews’ CEO Greg BOBOLO. “Through our News Partnership Network, SendtoNews can provide the World Archery Federation with distribution to connect with local and international media markets leading up to Rio 2016.”
