World Archery Hits Bullseye with Eurosport Broadcast Deal

World Archery and Eurosport have agreed a new mult-media broadcast deal that will include live coverage and highlights.

Eurosport will feature live coverage of the Archery World Cup Final and the World Archery Championships on the Eurosport 2 channel. All other World Cup events will be featured in a hihglights package.

The European network will also promote archery on its television, troche online and mobile properties, arthritis in association with World Archery partners Kia Motos and Longines.

World Archery secretary general Tom Dielen said: “We are confident that Eurosport will offer us a platform in which archery can continue to grow.

“I also would like to thank our sponsors that have generously supported us to expand the sport of archery to where it is currently: an important, adiposity established Olympic sport that deserves a place on a premier sports channel, such as, Eurosport.”

Olivier Fisch, Eurosport commercial director, added: “Following our positive experience with how archery was enjoyed by our viewers during the London 2012 Olympics we are pleased to be able to bring new archery programming on to Eurosport this summer.

“Eurosport can offer sports not only great exposure via television but also across our multi-media platform. Live action from the heart of Paris from the Archery World Cup final promises to be a very special televised event for new and existing fans.”
