November 17, 2014

British Basketball League (BBL) side Worcester Wolves has agreed a new partnership with the City’s Chevron Citroen dealership, which will benefit the club’s community coaching initiative.

The deal will see Chevron Citroen provide transport for Wolves’ players and coaching staff, who visit thousands of youngsters in schools and community groups throughout the region, delivering coaching and Learning through Sport initiatives.

The four vehicles provided through the initiative will allow this community outreach work to be built upon and developed.

Worcester Wolves Managing Director, Mick Donovan, said: “Chevron Citroen has an excellent reputation for offering a first class experience to all of its customers, and they did not hesitate when offered the opportunity to support us in what is a nationally-recognised community coaching initiative.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Harris (Dealer Principal at Chevron Citroen) and his team, and being associated with a distinguished, local company is something that fits in with our vision.

“Significantly, many more children will now benefit from basketball and educational opportunities because of the input from Chevron Citroen.”

Mike Harris, Dealer Principal at Chevron Citroen added: “Whilst we are delighted to be able to support the Worcester Wolves Basketball Club as they continue to establish themselves as one of the country’s leading teams on the court, we are particularly excited about ensuring that more youngsters in our local community can benefit from working and playing alongside the Wolves players and coaches.”
