Women’s International Match Racing Series Secure 1080 Media TV Partnership

The Women’s International Match Racing Series (WIM Series) has partnered with 1080 Media TV in London for broadcasting facilities and services from this year’s events.

Events will take place in Ireland, France, Sweden, the US and Korea for the second instalment of the WIM Series.

Video and TV-experts, 1080 Media TV will help expand the presence of the Series in various channels, with highlights in social media videos and international news coverage.

WIM Series Manager Liz Baylis said: “1080 Media has a tremendous experience of broadcasting live on the Internet and on traditional TV, with in-depth knowledge and experience of women’s match racing from many years at the Lysekil Women’s Match.

“We’re very pleased to be working closely together with such skilled professionals as the 1080 Media TV crew bring to the events.”

Vast experience

1080 Media TV, who are a partner of iSportconnect and iSportconnect TV, have vast experience in sailing, and are currently providing 17×26 minute HD programmes for international broadcast on the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

The WIM Series starts with the ISAF Women’s Match Racing World Championship in Cork, Ireland, June 3 – 8, with 1080 Media TV providing coverage of the event.
