Wolff and Lauda Extend With Mercedes
February 20, 2017
Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff and non-executive chairman Niki Lauda have signed new contracts to stay with the German team until 2020.
Wolff and Lauda, who have worked together for Mercedes since 2013, will stay with the team until the end of their current Formula One contract. However, Mercedes will negotiate a new deal later this year with new F1 owners Liberty Media.
Wolff and Lauda retain their team stakes of 30% and 10% respectively in the team, who have won three consecutive Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships since 2014.
Formula One has introduced major regulation changes ahead of the 2017 campaign, with pre-season testing beginning next weekend.
