June 26, 2013
English League One club, denture Colchester United have announced that Weston Homes will be their main sponsor for the next two seasons.
The Essex based development company return to the front of the U’s home shirts, symptoms after a two year spell between 2008 and 2010.
They are already the stadium naming rights holder, with the Weston Homes Community Stadium taking on the name at its inception in July 2008. The new shirt deal between Colchester United and Weston Homes will run until the end of the 2014/15 season.
Michelle Tricker, Colchester United’s Head of Sales, said: “We are delighted that Weston Homes have taken on the shirt sponsorship once again.
“They have already shown their tremendous support for the club with the stadium naming rights and their sponsorship on the shirts during the first two years at the new stadium.
“I’m sure that this latest partnership will enhance the already healthy relationship we have with Weston Homes.”
Bob Weston, Founder and Chairman of Weston Homes, commented: “It is with great pride that we renew our shirt sponsorship for the team as we have had the privilege of close links to the Colchester United FC for some time.
“Our support of the local community has not only been through our sponsorship of Colchester United but also through the social and economic initiatives we have undertaken.
“We intend to grow the strength of the community by providing high quality homes and commercial opportunities that support up and coming businesses.”
