Warwickshire County Cricket Club have renewed their partnership with Free Radio for a music mix to be played at the Birmingham Bears NatWest T20 Blast matches for a further two years.

Free Radio will continue to be the Club’s Official Media Partner, and the new deal will see presenter Ed Nell act as the Match Day Host at the Birmingham Bears’ NatWest T20 Blast home games. The station will also promote the Bears T20 campaign through commercial airtime and play its ‘best music mix’ at each match, starting with the Birmingham Bears v Yorkshire Vikings on Friday 23 May.

Tom Rawlings, Communications Manager at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Our five Friday nights matches at Edgbaston in the NatWest T20 Blast will be a great way to start the weekend, and securing Free Radio and Ed Nell as our match day host will provide a fantastic experience to our supporters in the stadium.

“Free Radio has an excellent reach across the West Midlands region and our partnership forms a key part of growing our attendances in cricket’s most popular form of the game.”

As part of the activation, Free Radio will receive headline branding on Edgbaston’s new West Stand as well as receiving tickets and hospitality at Birmingham Bears home games.

Andy Price, Marketing Director at Free Radio, said: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Edgbaston, a key partner within the region, for another two years.

“The excitement of Twenty20 cricket is the perfect match for our Free Radio brand and the opportunity to promote our brand within such an outstanding arena, continues to be an important part of our ongoing marketing campaign.”
