Wakefield Trinity Receive Ground-Share Offer
March 14, 2017
Featherstone Rovers have made a formal offer to Wakefield Trinity to ground-share for at least the 2018 Rugby League season. The deal would see both clubs play home games at Rovers’ Post Office Road for the duration of the agreement.
Trinity chairman Michael Carter said in Sunday’s Salford programme notes that 2017 is their final year at Belle Vue.
The venue would not meet minimum ground standards for the top flight.
Super League has a number of criteria for stadia assessment, including capacity, media facilities and disabled access.
Informal talks between Rovers and Trinity have already taken place, but the offer has now been formally extended.
