Verizon Expands Oakland Raiders Deal to Sponsor 2012 Training Camp

August 1, 2012

Verizon, the operator of the nation’s largest 4G LTE wireless network, have agreed a sponsorship deal with the NFL’s Oakland raiders joining an impressive list of corporations that have teamed up with the Silver and Black for this season and beyond.

Nike, GEICO, USAA and Frito Lay also have joined the Raiders in 2012, while sponsors such as Comcast have increased their presence with the Silver and Black.  In addition, both Tide and Gatorade are producing their products in Raiders branded bottles for distribution in Northern California.

“We are delighted that our new and returning sponsors have expressed enthusiasm about their relationships with us and we look forward to working with them to reach our tremendous global fan base,” said Raiders Chief Executive Amy Trask.

Verizon is increasing its involvement with the Oakland Raiders to become the presenting sponsor of Oakland Raiders Training Camp in 2012.

The new, expanded relationship includes signage and media backdrops in and around the Raiders’ Napa Valley training complex, branding on the team’s official website, social media campaigns, business-to-business hospitality events, and other VIP benefits.

“Verizon is a proven leader in its industry and we are pleased to provide it with an extended platform to demonstrate its 4G Network at Training Camp,” said Robert Kinnard, who leads the Raiders sponsorship department.
