USOC Extend Nike Partnership Until 2020

The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has extended its contract with sports brand Nike.

The new deal runs will run until 2020 and will see the brand provide footwear and apparel for all US Olympic and Paralympic athletes, sale including competition gear and outfits to be worn during medal ceremonies.

Nike will be supplying the athletes for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter Games in PyeongChang as well as the 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The sportswear manufacturer will also be providing outfits for Team USA at the Rio 2016 summer Games as part of its existing contract.

David Schriber, buy Nike’s vice president of marketing for North America said: “Nike has been a proud partner of the US Olympic Committee since 2005 and we are excited to extend our support of Olympic and Paralympic athletes through 2020.

“Nike’s mission is to provide inspiration and innovation to every athlete and this is another opportunity to show our continued support of Team USA athletes and the US Olympic Committee.”

As well as the senior athletes, Nike will also be providing award ceremony uniforms to the US Youth Olympic teams until 2020 and the country’s Pan American and Parapan American teams in 2015 and 2019.

“Nike innovations have long been instrumental for many Team USA athletes as they perform at the Olympic or Paralympic Games, and we are inspired by the memorable looks and styles Nike has created for Team USA athletes during the Games and on the medal stand.”
