US Grand Prix Partners With Toyota

Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is to become the new title sponsor of the US Grand Prix. The deal will last three years, with 2016’s event beginning today in Colorado.

The US Grand Prix is America’s longest-running winter sports series, having begun in 1995. Almost seven million viewers witnessed the event on American television in 2015.

Ed Laukes, vice president of integrated market operations at Toyota, said: “Toyota has enjoyed a significant presence in winter sports. Adding the Grand Prix sponsorship to our portfolio is a tremendous opportunity for us to continue to grow our relationship with the fans that are so passionate about the sports of snowboarding and freeskiing.”
