U.S. Cellular Extends Deal as Iowa Speedway Title Sponsor

July 30, 2014

U.S. Cellular will continue its partnership with Iowa Speedway by serving as title sponsor of the U.S. Cellular 250 for a sixth consecutive year.

Along with this deal the company will also remain a partner of RAB Racing with Brack Maggard as the primary sponsor of the No. 29 Toyota Camry driven by veteran Kenny Wallace.

“U.S. Cellular is excited about our sponsorship of this NASCAR Nationwide Series race and to have Kenny Wallace back behind the wheel of his Toyota Camry,” said Erryn Andersen, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Iowa and Nebraska. “We have enjoyed being partners with Iowa Speedway since the track opened in 2006, and we look forward to another enthusiastic crowd and great display of racing for the U.S. Cellular 250.”

Wallace, who made his 900th career NASCAR start last September, finished 13th and 22nd during two Iowa Speedway appearances in 2013. The 50-year-old driver from Concord, North Carolina, has 543 career Nationwide Series starts.

“It will be a pleasure to once again have U.S. Cellular sponsoring my car, and I look forward to having a successful race,” said Wallace. “It’s always fun to visit with auto racing fans in Iowa and the great associates at U.S. Cellular leading up to the race.”

“We love being a part of the Iowa community and enhancing the experience for residents who attend the U.S. Cellular 250 and other events across the state,” Andersen said.

Iowa Speedway also is excited to have U.S. Cellular back as a sponsor.

“We are incredibly proud to continue our mutually beneficial partnership with U.S. Cellular,” Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small said. “U.S. Cellular is one of our longest running partners, and we look forward to helping U.S. Cellular build its brand at a time when Iowa Speedway is poised for growth.”
