August 22, 2012

The athletics programme at the University of Dayton will continue to be sponsored by PNC Bank for another three years, there through to the end of the 2014/15 academic year.

The partnership between the bank and the university was first struck at the beginning of the 2000/01 academic season.

Dave Melin, Regional President of PNC Dayton said: “This partnership goes beyond just athletics. It speaks to the very essence of both the university and the Bank.

“We are proud to play a part in enabling the University of Dayton to continue its legacy of success and commitment to the community.”

The Bank is part of Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group, the second-largest bank in the Dayton market.

Tim Wabler, University of Dayton Vice-President and Director of Athletics said: “We are extremely pleased that PNC has extended its relationship with us.

“Over the last 10 years we have continued to raise the performance standards of our student-athletes, competitively and in the classroom. This is a direct result of the support of our partners like PNC.”
